Click on the binocular (F7) and select by one or more of the displayed columns and click on the flash (F8). You can also use the extended selection function (described on the next page) to select transactions. Press F9 to view the full deal input screen for selected transaction.

Design your own ledger layout

Each ledger is designed individually by each user. Note! There are columns available in the ledger design that are not available in the system default layout.

Click on ‘Ledger design’ icon to open the settings window. Select columns, to be displayed in the ledger, from the ‘Available’ list. In order from up and down in the selected list the columns are displayed from left to right in the ledger. Check ‘User settings’ to activate user defined layout. Uncheck ‘User settings’ to activate system default layout.

Extended Selection

This function is available in the ledger forms. It will enable selection of transactions based on a range of dates and reference numbers as well as complete portfolio code selections. When an extended selection is activated, the large binocular will be coloured red and further detailed queries of transaction are now possible within the extended selection via the regular query function (small binocular or F7/F8). An activated extended selection is deactivated with the Reset button from within the selection form.

To create a new selection, press create and name the selection accordingly.

Activate an extended selection automatically in all ledgers

The default extended selection is activated automatically whenever the ledger is opened.

Print selected transactions from ledger

Select transactions for example with an extended selection.

Click on the printer icon to open a MS Excel spreadsheet with the selected transactions.

Example of a MS Excel report. Note that the Excel quick filter is automatically activated.

Ledger - Query only

The purpose with the Ledger - Query Only is to act as a window into the database for users that are allowed to see transactions but are not allowed to alter anything on the transactions. Click on the binocular (function key F7) and select by one or more of the displayed columns and click on the flash (function key F8). You can also use the extended selection function (described on the next page) to select transactions.

Press F9 to view the full deal input screen.

Ledger - Priced Request

The ledger is intended to be used by a back office function in the subsidiaries. It will display, in real time, transactions that have been priced by head office. The ledger should also be viewed as an electronic confirmation from head office of the terms and conditions of the transaction. In the ledger there is functionality for subsidiaries to accept and approve the terms and conditions. As soon as the transaction is priced it will disappear from the Ledger requests and appear in real time in the ledger called Priced requests, intended for use by subsidiaries.

Confirm - Start

The purpose with the Confirm - start form is for back office to maintain control over transactions made by Front office. Functions performed in Confirm - start are:

  • Verify that the transaction is correctly entered compared to hand-written notes or the confirmation notes from counterparts.
  • Verify that all mandatory fields are entered.
  • Verify and alter FX rates.
  • Verify and update interest rates

Select the transaction you want to work with by Deal- or Value date.

  • Press F9 or double click on the reference number to see the Deal Input form.
  • Bank Account codes can be changed or entered in Confirm - start. A list of valid codes is displayed if a non valid code is entered.

Setting booking rates in Confirm - start

Settings for automatic rates in system parameters:

Rate date - Confirm start: Not checked = Currency rate table for due date (Value date) is used. Checked = Currency rate table for due date minus 2 days is used.

  • Double click in the "RTE" column to set booking rates manually on FX options in cross currencies

  • Double click in field "FX rate" to enter/change booking rate on a single transaction.

 Semi-automated coding

Click on the Code Transaction button to make the account coding for the selected transaction. F4. Use this function only if you need to code each transaction individually. Otherwise use the menu item automated coding batch.

  • To delete the entire coding set the cursor on the Book date and press shift + F6.
  • To delete a single row set the cursor on the specific row and press shift + F6.
  • "No coding" - Click to mark the transaction as coded without creating any real coding (for eample if a transaction is already manually coded in the general ledger for some reason.).

Confirmation of preliminary transactions

When amortisation loans, cross currency IR swaps and multi currency loans are entered in deal input, the transactions get preliminary reference numbers. When the transactions are confirmed in confirm start they get a final reference number within the reference number interval specified for the legal entity.

20004172 is the preliminary reference number and 2059 is the final reference number. The original preliminary number can be seen in the menu item transaction status overview.
