To simplify and minimize errors when registering deals in Deal input menu, you can use Portfolio Definitions.
Here's how it works:
- Each Portfolio name represents a combination of portfolio codes. When a Portfolio is selected in a Deal input form the Portfolio code list boxes will only displays relevant codes.
- In the below example we have chosen to create a FX portfolio with Counterpart group CO-BANK PF (a group of external Counterparts set up in Portfolio Grouping), with Strategy EXTERNAL, Deal type TRADING and Trans type FX.
How to set up a new Portfolio
- Go to Register > Set up > Portfolio Definitions
- Click on Create Record, give the portfolio a name
- Choose which codes that should be set for each category. If you want a code to be default at a Portfolio, check the box to the right (default box).
- When you have created a Portfolio, you have to grant access to it by clicking on the Grant Portfolio button. Here you can choose which Portfolio you want to grant to which Deal Input form and you can also choose a certain user if you wish.
